Analysis
Our laboratory was completed in the beginning of 2009 and is very well-equipped for analysis of both aerobic and anaerobic microorganisms. It is also equipped for DNA and RNA analysis, which we use to identify and quantify microorganisms. We can also analyse a broad spectrum of organic compounds and gases. Our strength is that we possess an extensive experience that combines microbiology, molecular biology and analytic chemistry. Our areas of expertise involve environmental chemistry, technical microbiology and studies with research and development. To read more about our different services, click here.
We answer:
- How many or how much?
It can be everything from the amount of microorganisms, the amount of a chemical compound or the identification of microbial activity in a system. The methods we use here at Micans are different chemical analyses that can be combined with cultivation, microscopy and DNA-analysis.
- Which ones?
We identify microorganisms, organic compounds and their decomposition speed, gases and microbiological processes. Here we also use cultivation, microscopy and DNA-analysis and identification of chemical compounds and gases.
- How fast?
In our laboratory systems we can simulate real environments and thus determine the rates of microbiological processes, such as how fast or slow a polluting compound can be broken down.
