Micans is involved with the preparation of international ISO-standards in chemical analysis

2016-02-08
Consumer goods might be a source of dangerous chemicals and because of this the chemical content is regulated by laws. To fulfil legal requirements it is often necessary to rely on chemical analysis and the methods used need to be standardized and verified to comply fully with the intention of the law. It is the task for ISO to develop such methods that can be used in international trade.

Micans possesses a unique capacity in chemical analysis and method development and we are now taking part of this international work as expert members of SiS TK 160- Chemical analysis.

To create robust methods for analysis it is necessary with theoretical competence paired with a long experience of practical laboratory work, in the same organization and preferably in the same person. This has always been a strength at Micans and it is also backed up by a broad range of available instruments.

Our goal is to contribute in the international work aiming for the creation of useful and dependable methods for chemical analysis without simplifying them to the degree that the results could be compromised. This is a delicate task!
