Micans participates in Grundvattendagarna

Grundvattendagarna (Groundwater days) is underway in Gothenburg on 13th-14th October and is organised by among others the Swedish Geological Survey (SGU) in collaboration with the University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology.

Grundvattendagarna attracts this year around 250 participants where Alexandra Chukharkina, Anders Blom and Jessica Johansson represents Micans. A great interest was shown for our posters that tell of our expertise in advanced analytics. A major issue addressed during the days is that the EU Commission believes that the groundwater in Sweden are not analysed and evaluated enough. They call for increased research for Sweden to be considered to achieve the objectives within the EU. Extended allocations are planned and are anchored at parliamentary level. Multiple sessions involve microbiological safety of drinking water and the extent to which our groundwater is affected by eg viruses.
