Microorganisms and final disposal of radioactive waste

Micans is participating in an EU project called MIND, Microbiology In Nuclear waste Disposal, which is ongoing from June 2015 until May 2019. Fifteen universities, research businesses and companies which are responisble for final disposal of radioactive waste are participating in the project.

Participants come from Sweden, the UK, Belgium, Finland, Czech Republic, Spain and Germany. Switzerland is also included in the project even though they are not an EU country. The project is funded through the new EU research program Horizon 2020. Read more under Reference Projects.
