Sampling in a horse paddock

In Vetlanda is one of the government’s old defunct oil stocks which now slowly are being filled with water. Micans has performed samplings on the water inside the cavern and also on the groundwater in the surroundings to trace diesel residues.

The picture shows a sampling well where sampling for petroleum-contaminated groundwater took place in October. In Sweden sampling can take place in the wilderness but this time we had no problems with mosquitoes and bears. Admittedly, horses and electric fences might be just as problematic. Still the samples were collected successfully and are now analysed on our GC-MS.
