Cultivable microorganisms

In all types of water there are microorganisms, whether it is drinking water, lake or seawater or process water from industries. The analysis “cultivable microorganisms” is often done to get an overall idea of the quality of the water. Micans can adjust the culture time and incubation temperature according to the customer's wishes, but the most commonly used intervals are between 3 to 7 days and between 22 to 36°C. Reading after 7 days, 22°C is usually called Slow growing bacteria.

Micans performs the determination of culturable microorganisms - Colony count by mixing with a nutrient substrate with agar according to standard SS-EN ISO 6222-1.
